I’m a freelance cinematographer/photographer, video editor and Artist Illustrator based out of Delhi.

Over a career of more than 2 decades in filmmaking, I entered the industry as a producer, switching to work as a freelance Editor and Cinematographer and continue to do so.

As a cinematographer I’ve shot several documentaries (award winning and otherwise) as DoP and four Bollywood feature films as Second Unit DoP/Associate Cinematographer. One of the Bollywood films that I worked on as the Second Unit DoP/Associate Cinematographer ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ received the FilmFare Award for best Cinematography 2015. The other films are ‘Shudh Desi Romance’, ‘Fan’ and ‘Zero’.

In 2016 I was awarded the Guild of Television Cameramen Cinematography Award  (UK) 2016 for Best Cinematography (Additional) for the BBC4 film ‘Last Train in Nepal’. I have shot several other award winning and critically acclaimed films.

Yeh Freedom Life, a documentary shot by me and directed by Priya Sen has been winning hearts at festivals internationally. It won the Inaugural Gender Sensitivity Award at DIFF, Dharamshala, was first screened at The Kitchen, NYC and travelled to BFI, London Film Festival and more.

As a Video Editor, in the initial years, I edited shows for BBC, NGC and MTV. Lately, I have returned to Video Editing with music videos, video art pieces for  other artists, corporate videos and commercials for companies such as Armani Exchange.

My career as an Artist illustrator has been profoundly fulfilling. In the past few years not only have I exhibited my personal work, I have worked with amazing people on some incredible projects.
